1972 Pub announced today that its current building is being acquired through eminent domain as part of the Austin Transit Partnership light rail project, meaning the business will eventually need to vacate its space. While awaiting an official notice to vacate, the pub is beginning to explore what comes next amid an already difficult climate for small businesses.

The pub is encouraging supporters to visit, host events, share its story, help identify future locations or sponsors, and contribute to relocations efforts at Together for 1972.
